Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "But I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people create a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
